One year after their first single, “La Femme de Mon Patron,” took the airwaves by storm, Bel Jazz is set to release their debut album, VAN VIRE, this weekend. This marks a major accomplishment for the band since their grand premiere in mid-February 2008 followed by a second release “K.P.S.” in late August.
VAN VIRE will feature 12 original compositions collectively produced by the musicians of Bel Jazz. Lead singer, Pipo, showcases his astounding voice and vocal versatility throughout all twelve tracks in an array of storylines provided by each song. Infectious grooves will entice listeners to dance and/or sing along as they play each track.
Bel Jazz will leave for Haiti tomorrow where they will formally introduce the CD to the Haitian media and the public. The debut album will be released exclusively in Haiti this weekend and will be made available to all next week through traditional music retailers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and the French Caribbean.
As fans all across these international borders prepare themselves to get their hands on an official copy, Bel Jazz introduces to you all a new track titled “S.O.S.” that is featured on this debut album. “S.O.S.” is dedicated to the motherland, Haiti, which is dealing with one of the toughest years ever in its history.
